What to expect when you attend Springfield Baptist Church

  • Entering and Exiting the Building: We will have three entrances available for you to enter the building: 1. The Courtyard located on Main Street, 2. The Fellowship Hall located off of North Willow Street, and 3. The Elevator Door located off of North Willow Street. We ask that you try to exit the building through the same doors that you entered. Check the map on our “Contact Us” page for more information.

  • Greeting Crew: When approaching the building you will notice a Greeting Crew. The Greeting Crew is made up of our safety team, deacons and Springfield Baptist ladies.

  • Entrance Conversations: When you approach the entrance of the building a few things will occur: 1. Greeted warmly, 2. Offered a person to guide you through the building. We are no longer doing temperature checks and registration check ins.

  • Masks and Social Distancing: Church goers are asked to wear masks while inside the building. If you have a medical reason for not wearing a mask then please notify the Greeting Crew before entering the building. For social distancing efforts, every other pew is “roped” off to promote 6 foot spacing. For events in the Fellowship Hall, tables are spaced out to accommodate social distancing practices. On April 11, 2021, we will go to “restaurant rules” where you are asked to where a mask while moving through the building but can take it off when you sit.

  • Sanitation: The areas of use will be sanitized after every service. Church goers will be encouraged not to shake hands and hug. Hand Sanitizer stations will be located throughout the building. Water fountains will not be available. Restrooms closest to the sanctuary will be open. No Handouts will be given, no coffee/donuts will be offered. Hymns and pew Bibles will be removed (please bring your Bible or let us know to get you one). Offering plates will not be passed, but offering boxes will be in the back of the sanctuary. Our air conditioning intakes have had UV lights installed to assist in killing viruses and germs that may circulate in the air.

  • Weekday Office Operation: Ministry staff are operating with normal ministerial hours.
