curriculum

Discovery Station Learners curriculum is a 2-year program that builds upon the curriculum each year. Students can learn through a framework of planning that is intentional in helping them build an academic foundation while learning social/emotional skills. The two years are very different programs – there isn’t any repetition happening. Year 2 takes what was taught and discovered in year 1 and adds onto it.

School App

SBP utilizes a mobile app to stay connected with parents throughout the day. Staff can digitally share special moments and keep parents engaged with their child’s experiences. The app also provides a convenient way to communicate with families by sending notes, reminders, and messages directly through the child care platform..

Enrichment classes

At Springfield Baptist Preschool, we are committed to providing a well-rounded and enriching experience for every child. Our program includes a variety of enrichment activities designed to support their growth and development. Students participate in Bible, Art, and Library activities, fostering creativity, literacy, and a strong foundation in faith. Additionally, every Thursday morning, we come together as a school body for a short chapel service, providing children with an opportunity to learn and grow spiritually in a warm and supportive environment.

At Springfield Baptist Preschool, our teachers are highly trained professionals committed to providing a safe and enriching learning environment. All staff members are certified in CPR and first aid, ensuring they are prepared to handle emergencies. In addition, our teachers participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education throughout the year, staying up to date with the latest teaching strategies, child development research, and safety protocols. This commitment to excellence allows us to provide the highest quality care and education for every child in our program.

outside the classroom

We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Outdoor play and extracurricular activities complement the themes explored in class, creating a well-rounded educational experience. Our goal is to make every activity both educational and fun. We also offer an amazing playground for outdoor learning, providing children with plenty of space to run, play, and release their energy throughout the day.

meals and snacks

At Springfield Baptist Preschool, we provide breakfast and additional snacks as needed. However, parents are required to pack their child’s lunch each day. Additionally, families will be asked to provide a snack for their child’s class on a rotating basis, approximately once every few weeks. To ensure the safety of all students, all snacks must be allergy-friendly and comply with the specific dietary restrictions of your child’s classroom.
